Basisbank's Loan Portfolio for Legal Entities Reaches 2 Billion GEL

Basisbank remains one of the top three banks in Georgia in terms of corporate lending. By the end of the third quarter, its business loan portfolio for legal entities had reached 2 billion GEL

According to Basisbank's financial results for the third quarter of 2024, total assets grew by 14.2% year-over-year, reaching 3.8 billion GEL. The bank's total loan portfolio now exceeds 2.8 billion GEL, reflecting an increase of 451 million GEL from the same period last year.

Basisbank remains one of the top three banks in Georgia in terms of corporate lending. By the end of the third quarter, its business loan portfolio for legal entities had reached 2 billion GEL, while loans to individual clients totaled 860 million GEL.

Compared to the previous year, Basisbank's deposit portfolio grew by 238 million GEL, amounting to 2.3 billion GEL in total. Of this, deposits from individuals saw an increase of 218 million GEL.

Financial data from subsidiaries within the Basisbank Group also showed strong growth:
- BB Leasing: The leasing portfolio reached 40 million GEL, up by 61% from the previous year.
- BB Insurance: Premiums collected totaled 19.6 million GEL, a year-over-year increase of 65%.

As of September 30, 2024, Basisbank Group reported a net profit of 63.4 million GEL. Key profitability ratios were: Return on Assets (ROA): 2.34%; Return on Equity (ROE): 14.84%. 

In the third quarter of 2024, Basisbank made significant strides in green and social financing. It became the first commercial bank in Georgia to issue sustainable public bonds, raising 20 million USD to fund green and social projects.
Additionally, Basisbank expanded its partnership with EFSE and the GGF fund, securing a 20 million EUR subordinated, long-term green loan. This financing package will strengthen the bank’s capital resources and support increased lending, particularly to small and medium-sized enterprises, fostering sustainable investments.
