Basisbank is pleased to announce the signing of a Confirming Bank Agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). This partnership reinforces Basisbank’ s commitment to supporting trade finance and fostering economic growth in Georgia and the wider region.

Basisbank’ s collaboration with ADB dates back to 2016 and has since evolved into a series of impactful initiatives, including trade facilitation programs and sustainable bond projects. Through this agreement, Basisbank will serve as a confirming bank under ADB’s trade finance programs, enabling local businesses to access enhanced financial solutions and participate in international trade with increased confidence and efficiency.

“Partnering with ADB as a confirming bank is an important step for Basisbank,” said David Tsaava, General Director of Basisbank. “Our partnership, which started in 2016, has developed into many exciting collaborations over the years. This agreement strengthens our capacity to support local businesses and reflects our commitment to fostering trade and sustainable development in Georgia.”

ADB’s support will allow Basisbank to provide trade finance instruments that mitigate risks for exporters and importers, promoting smoother cross-border transactions and facilitating economic growth.

Basisbank looks forward to leveraging this partnership to deliver greater value to its clients and contribute to the growth of Georgia’s trade finance business.
