With the official support of Basisbank, the Sandro Akhmeteli State Drama Theatre will host the international festival of chamber and monodrama performances - "Tbilisi Pomegranates", from September 25 to 28.

The festival is dedicated to the creative legacy of renowned director Sergo Parajanov and will open with the Akhmeteli Theatre’s production, “Confession – I, Sergei Parajanov”, which reflects the artist's impressive and multifaceted creative journey.

This year, Tbilisi Pomegranates stands out for its diverse genres and international scope. The four-day program includes monologue performances, chamber productions, and choreographic shows. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience the work of acclaimed directors and artists from around the world.

The festival will welcome participants from seven countries: Lithuania, the USA, Israel, Romania, Germany, Spain, and Georgia. Among the distinguished guests are Oskaras Koršunovas, a renowned Lithuanian director, and Rainer Behr, a German choreographer, dancer of the Pina Bausch Theatre, and one of the leading voices in contemporary dance. Behr will appear both as a director and performer, lending a special significance and emotional depth to the festival's program.
